Park Bark
What is It?
a Mobile experience designed to improve the experience of visiting a dog park. This project was the result of real-world research at my local dog parks, talking to regulars and synthesizing the major pain points into a design strategy that would bring the maximum value to it's users.

Target Users: anyone who has a dog and visits dog parks regularly
the following are quotes from my research talking to target users.

"I never know when to come because some times of the day are a total gamble if any other dogs will even be here?"

"Sometimes I drive away if I see a dog that I know my dog doesn't play well with.I wish I would have known they were here."

"I've met so many people at the dog park. Sometimes we will all meet at the bar after the dog park."

The Interface design of the app is intended to be playful clean and dog-centered. After receiving some feedback, I worked to make the designs a bit cleaner, more elegant, and a bit more minimalist.
The feedback I received suggested that the buttons were too pronounced the grass was a bit too child-like and the variety of colors and patterns distract from the function and flow of the app.

New designs are less distracting and more professional. The user is more easily able to navigate the app and find what they are looking for. The Identity of the product and the brand is stronger with a new logo, and subtle yet expressive typefaces. The sky blue color creates a "cleaner" aesthetic and more subtle nods to playfulness and outdoors.
